Terms and Conditions

Applicable to use of festive investigations and activities delivered via NorthPolePD.com

Last updated: 14 August 2025

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the festive investigative experiences, activities and related materials provided via NorthPolePD.com (the "Site" and the "Platform"). The Site and materials are operated by Student Detectives Pty Ltd trading as North Pole PD ("North Pole PD", "we", "us").

By accessing or using North Pole PD, including activating a licence or gift code, creating an account or participating in any North Pole PD investigation, you ("you", the "User", "Educator", "Parent" or "Institution") agree to these Terms in full.

Important: North Pole PD provides fictional, festive themed investigative and educational resources. For school and youth settings, delivery to children is entirely educator led. Supervision, safeguarding and compliance with local policies remain your responsibility.

2. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when they are posted on NorthPolePD.com. If you continue to use the Platform after changes are posted, this will be treated as acceptance of the updated Terms. You should review this page periodically.

3. Eligibility and authorised use

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, purchase access, or activate a licence or gift code on North Pole PD.
  • For educational use, you confirm that you are an authorised teacher, educator, member of school staff, or facilitator acting on behalf of an educational institution.
  • For home use, you confirm that you are an adult purchasing or activating access for personal, family or group use.
  • Materials are for educational or personal entertainment use only, within your class, institution, home or authorised group setting, subject to these Terms and applicable laws and policies.

4. Scope of services

North Pole PD may provide, among other things:

  • digital case files and interactive festive investigations ("Cases") available through the Platform
  • printable support materials or tasks where provided as part of a Case
  • facilitator guidance, instructional content and onboarding materials
  • media elements such as audio or video briefings
  • licence and gift systems that allow users to unlock and access specific Cases.

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue parts of the Platform or specific Cases at our discretion.

5. Accounts and access

Some parts of North Pole PD require an account and sign in.

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account.
  • If you believe your account has been compromised, you should change your password and contact us promptly.
  • Licences and gift codes that you redeem may assign roles or access to your account so that Cases appear in your "My Cases" or equivalent area.

6. Pricing and payment

  • Where North Pole PD Cases or licences are sold directly, prices are displayed in the relevant currency and may include or exclude taxes as indicated.
  • Payments may be processed by third party payment providers. Their terms and policies will apply in addition to these Terms.
  • For institutional purchases via invoice (where offered), payment terms will be stated on the invoice or agreed in writing.
  • We may also distribute access through partner platforms or promotions. In such cases, additional or different commercial terms may apply as agreed with the partner.

7. Refunds and cancellations

  • Digital access and licences: Once a digital Case, licence or gift code has been accessed or redeemed, it is generally non refundable, as access is delivered immediately. This does not affect any non excludable consumer rights that you may have under applicable law.
  • Promotions and gifts: Complimentary or gifted access is provided without charge and is not eligible for refunds or cash alternatives.
  • If you believe there is a fault with the service, or you have been charged in error, please contact us so that we can review the situation.

8. Delivery and access to content

  • Digital access to North Pole PD Cases is usually provided via your online account once payment is confirmed or a valid licence or gift code has been redeemed.
  • Any timeframes for activation, access windows or staged release of content are indicative and may vary, for example where maintenance is required.
  • If we supply any physical materials in connection with North Pole PD, dispatch timeframes will be indicated at the point of order. These timeframes are estimates and may be affected by external factors such as postal delays.

9. Licence and intellectual property

All North Pole PD content, including text, artwork, audio, video, case structures, software and branding, is owned by Student Detectives Pty Ltd or its licensors.

Subject to these Terms and any specific licence terms for a Case, we grant you a limited, non exclusive, non transferable licence to use North Pole PD materials as follows:
